End-to-end complete trading partner migration to the Sterling Commerce on demand B2B integration platform for improved service continuity

LONDON, June 10, 2008 – Sterling Commerce, an AT&T (NYSE:T) subsidiary, today announced that Euro-Fitting Management, Tier 1 automotive supplier and world leader in the field of tyre to wheel assembly and JIS delivery, has selected Sterling Collaboration Network. The on demand B2B integration platform will provide secure connectivity and collaboration with its trading partners. In addition, the solution will enable Euro-Fitting Management to simplify partner integration and improve responsiveness to customers, ensuring increased growth and profitability.

Founded in 1997, Euro-Fitting Management provides car manufacturers with the safe and flexible delivery of tyre wheel assembly. The Belgium-based company, which continues to grow throughout Europe and more recently into other continents like the US and Africa, has successfully migrated 50 trading partners across the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany and the US to the Sterling Collaboration Network within four weeks. The solution provides Euro-Fitting Management with document tracking capabilities, enabling greater visibility into trading partner processes and ensuring greater control of its supply chain. Increased automation and less reliance on manual document exchange means any errors are resolved more quickly so Euro-Fitting Management can better meet service level agreements (SLA’s).

The Sterling Collaboration Network solution simplifies trading partner integration and enables Euro-Fitting Management to on-board and connect trading partners securely, reliably and more quickly. The collaboration network connects the entire community regardless of the data format type or protocol used, enabling Euro-Fitting Management to provide accurate and timely data exchange and consequently, improve service continuity.

Peter Eeckhout, Operational Assistant Global Operations, Euro-Fitting Management stated: “Sterling Collaboration Network has given us the means to improve our trading partner visibility and ultimately improve our service to customers. By having one connection to manage our whole trading partner community, we have simplified partner integration and increased the ease of doing business together. This helps us to improve overall performance and the ability for us to meet SLA’s has improved greatly. Our successful conversion to Sterling Collaboration Network was extremely smooth, and took place in a very short space of time; within four weeks.”

Dave Carmichael, Sr. Product Marketing Manager, at Sterling Commerce said; “Sterling Commerce was selected because of the secure and reliable service we provided to Euro-Fitting Management’s trading partner, Michelin. Sterling Collaboration Network provides Euro-Fitting Management with an on-demand B2B integration platform for secure and reliable connectivity and collaboration with its trading partners. By automating costly manual business processes, Euro-Fitting Management can increase the visibility into its supply chain, thereby reducing data processing costs, increasing efficiency, and ultimately enabling sustainable competitive differentiation.”

The Sterling Commerce Community Development team played a crucial role in supporting and managing the migration, including communications with partners and the setup of interconnects for those on different networks. Sterling Commerce then proactively monitored the situation for five days after the implementation to ensure the transition process was completed successfully.
